The Prismont MST-SBJ2.0 belt sander is a 2″ belt sander attachment for a lathe, a sanding / grinding / finishing device to help to safely and accurately sand, abrade and grind parts on the lathe.

The Prismont MST-SBJ2.0 belt sander fits in a standard tool post that can hold a 1″ / 25.4mm square shank tool so that you can safely abrade, sand, grind, and finish your work.
It takes standard sanding belts and you can get any grade/type made to size/order if required.
The unique part about this tool is that it has a hand driven belt, you simply turn the handle and the belt rotates on a controlled manner not only making this a very safe way of finishing parts on a lathe but also to give a more precise control of the amount of material taken off and a nice even constant finish.

Safe – the operator is clear of the rotating component. Universal- fits most conventional centre lathes.
Easy to use – simply clamp it into the machine tool post. The steel part of the sanding belt tool is 25.4mm thick, that’s what goes in the tool post with the clamping screws.
Portable – move it around the workshop as & when required.
